Mardin Hatuniye Medresesi is a historical Islamic school located in the city of Mardin, Turkey. It was built by the Artuklu ruler Kutbeddin İlteriş in the early 14th century and was named after the wife of İlteber, Hatun. The medrese was used as an educational institution and also as a mosque for Friday prayers.
The building has a unique architectural style with its elegant stonework, elaborate domes, and finely carved decorations. In addition to its educational role, Hatuniye Medresesi was also a cultural center, hosting a library and a mausoleum for the rulers of the Artuklu dynasty.
Today, Hatuniye Medresesi is open to visitors and has become a popular tourist destination in Mardin. It is also used as a venue for cultural events and exhibitions. The medrese has been well-preserved and continues to be a symbol of the rich cultural heritage of Turkey.
